KdeWe freuen sich die erste Einzelausstellung des US-Kolumbianischen Künstlers Yaron Guerrero Santos in Deutschland präsentieren zu dürfen. Yaron Guerrero Santos bezieht mit einer eigens geschaffenen Installation das historische Kellergewölbe der KdeWe. In Gemälden, Skulpturen und animierten Filmen setzt sich der Künstler beispielsweise mit kolonialen Blicken auseinander. Historische, von Europäern stammende Landschaftsmalereien Südamerikas werden zum Malgrund für amerikanisches Fast Food. Dagobert Ducks Geldspeicher ergießt sich durch das Kellergewölbe und ein See in der Galerie spiegelt die Installation ins Unendliche.

Yaron Guerrero Santos presents a specially created Installation in the Basement Gallery of KdeWe. Combining Painting, Sculpture and Animation towards Questions of Colonialism, where historic european Landscape Paintings of South America become Surfaces for Paintings of american fastfood. Uncle Scrooges Money Bin pours through the basement and a lake mirrors Yaron Guerrero Santos Installation endlessly.
